(KYIV, UKRAINE) – Pump prices across Ukraine rose sharply on Friday, with the average cost of A-95 petrol climbing above the 80 hryvnia mark and diesel jumping by more than two hryvnias per litre in a single day.
Data published by the monitoring portal minfin.com.ua and reported by Ukrinform showed that the average price of standard A-95 petrol increased by 1.05 hryvnias to reach 80.08 hryvnias per litre. That is equivalent to approximately 1.78 US dollars, 1.40 British pounds or 1.57 euros per litre. Diesel fuel rose by 2.23 hryvnias to an average of 85.23 hryvnias per litre, or about 1.90 US dollars, 1.49 British pounds and 1.67 euros.
Premium A-95 petrol averaged 83.73 hryvnias per litre, up by 0.86 hryvnias. This equals roughly 1.86 US dollars, 1.47 British pounds or 1.64 euros per litre. A-92 grade petrol stood at 77.21 hryvnias per litre, an increase of 1.84 hryvnias, translating to about 1.72 US dollars, 1.35 British pounds or 1.52 euros. The average price of autogas moved up by 0.27 hryvnias to 41.27 hryvnias per litre, or approximately 0.92 US dollars, 0.72 British pounds and 0.81 euros.
Among the major retail chains, prices varied. At Ukrnafta filling stations, A-95 petrol sold for 79.9 hryvnias per litre (1.78 US dollars, 1.40 British pounds, 1.57 euros), diesel for 82.4 hryvnias (1.84 US dollars, 1.44 British pounds, 1.62 euros) and autogas for 39.9 hryvnias (0.89 US dollars, 0.70 British pounds, 0.78 euros).
The Avantazh 7 network offered A-95 at 77.95 hryvnias per litre (1.74 US dollars, 1.37 British pounds, 1.53 euros), diesel at 83.95 hryvnias (1.87 US dollars, 1.47 British pounds, 1.65 euros) and autogas at 38.45 hryvnias (0.86 US dollars, 0.67 British pounds, 0.75 euros).
OKKO posted A-95 petrol at 82.9 hryvnias per litre (1.85 US dollars, 1.45 British pounds, 1.63 euros), diesel at 86.9 hryvnias (1.94 US dollars, 1.52 British pounds, 1.71 euros) and autogas at 41.9 hryvnias (0.93 US dollars, 0.73 British pounds, 0.82 euros).
BRSM-Nafta listed A-95 at 76.54 hryvnias per litre (1.70 US dollars, 1.34 British pounds, 1.50 euros), diesel at 83.85 hryvnias (1.87 US dollars, 1.47 British pounds, 1.65 euros) and autogas at 39.09 hryvnias (0.87 US dollars, 0.68 British pounds, 0.77 euros).
The WOG network priced A-95 at 82.9 hryvnias per litre (1.85 US dollars, 1.45 British pounds, 1.63 euros), diesel at 87.4 hryvnias (1.95 US dollars, 1.53 British pounds, 1.72 euros) and autogas at 41.9 hryvnias (0.93 US dollars, 0.73 British pounds, 0.82 euros).
BVS filling stations offered A-95 at 79.57 hryvnias per litre (1.77 US dollars, 1.39 British pounds, 1.56 euros), diesel at 86.9 hryvnias (1.94 US dollars, 1.52 British pounds, 1.71 euros) and autogas at 40.57 hryvnias (0.90 US dollars, 0.71 British pounds, 0.80 euros).
The latest increases followed rises recorded on Thursday, when the average price of A-95 petrol gained 0.63 hryvnias to reach 79.03 hryvnias per litre and diesel added 1.30 hryvnias to hit 83.00 hryvnias per litre. Fuel costs in Ukraine have been moving higher in recent weeks, driven by global oil price trends, currency movements and the logistical costs of supplying the market during wartime.
