(KYIV, UKRAINE) β More than 5 million Ukrainians are now receiving monthly payments through the state cashback programme designed to boost purchases of domestically made goods, the Ministry of Economy and Environment has said.
The programme, called National Cashback, has added almost half a million users over the past two months alone. The expansion pushes the total number of regular recipients past the 5 million mark.
Two more banks, Alliance Bank and KredoBank, have also joined the scheme. Their addition takes the total number of participating banks to 22, giving users a wider choice of financial institutions through which to receive their cashback.
Under the programme, Ukrainians get a refund when they buy goods produced in the country. The cashback rate depends on the product category and is set at either 15 percent or 5 percent of the purchase value.
Almost 1,500 retail chains and individual shops across Ukraine are now part of the scheme.
Users can spend the money they accumulate on utility bills, postal services, food products, medicines or books all of which must be of Ukrainian origin. The funds can also be donated to charity, including to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As of 7 July 2026, the programme had united more than 10 million registered participants and 2,031 manufacturers, with over 422,000 Ukrainian made products listed in the system. Shoppers had bought nearly UAH 134.3 billion (USD 3.25 billion, GBP 2.50 billion) worth of domestic goods and received UAH 9.7 billion (USD 235 million, GBP 181 million) in cashback payments.
Consumers can check the cashback rate for a specific product on the National Cashback website or by using the barcode scanner inside the Diia mobile application. The maximum monthly payout under the programme is UAH 3,000 (USD 73, GBP 56).
