(KYIV) – Ukrainians have until the end of today to spend funds accrued under the “National Cashback” programme, with unspent balances reverting to the state budget from 1 August.
The digital government services portal Diia issued the reminder via Telegram, stating that 31 July is the final day for cardholders to utilise their accumulated cashback. Any funds remaining on the cards after midnight will be returned to the state coffers.
The “National Cashback” programme remains active, with payments for purchases made in May scheduled for August. Under the scheme, citizens earn cashback on goods from domestic producers.
Eligible expenditures for the cashback include donations to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and charitable foundations, payment for utilities, the purchase of Ukrainian books, and the acquisition of Ukrainian products and medicines from participating retailers and pharmacies. The funds can also be used to pay for postal services.
Nearly 1,500 retail chains and individual stores across Ukraine are currently participating in the programme. The government recently extended the deadline for spending these funds, along with those from the “Winter Support” and “Winter Support 2025” social-economic initiatives, from 30 June to 31 July.
