(KYIV, UKRAINE) – The National Bank of Ukraine has set a weaker official exchange rate for the hryvnia against both the US dollar and the euro for Tuesday, 11 August. The dollar rose by 8 kopiyok to 44.83 Ukrainian hryvnia, while the euro gained 17 kopiyok to 51.78 hryvnia.

At the new official rate, one US dollar buys 44.83 hryvnia, equivalent to approximately 0.86 British pounds and 0.87 euros. One euro at 51.78 hryvnia is equal to about 1.16 US dollars and 0.89 British pounds.

The previous official rates, set for 10 August, stood at 44.75 hryvnia to the dollar and 51.61 hryvnia to the euro.

The government’s draft state budget for 2026 assumes an average annual exchange rate of 45.6 hryvnia to the US dollar. The National Bank of Ukraine expects inflation to accelerate towards 10 percent this year, alongside economic growth of 1.8 percent.
