(KYIV, UKRAINE) – The National Bank of Ukraine has set the official exchange rate for Monday 3 August, showing the US dollar losing ground against the hryvnia while the euro held completely flat. The dollar will stand at UAH 44.63, down 6 kopiyok from the previous rate of UAH 44.69 posted on 31 July. The euro remains unchanged at UAH 51.27.

At the new official rate, one US dollar buys UAH 44.63, equivalent to approximately $1.00 buying UAH 44.63 (GBP 0.79 / EUR 0.92 at current cross rates). One euro buys UAH 51.27, roughly $1.15 (GBP 0.90) at prevailing market exchange levels.

The central bank updates its official foreign exchange rates daily. The slight easing in the dollar rate offers a marginal reprieve for Ukrainian importers settling dollar denominated contracts, though the hryvnia remains under broad pressure. The government’s draft state budget for 2026 projects an average annual exchange rate of UAH 45.60 to the US dollar, signalling an expectation of further gradual adjustment through the coming year.
