(TALLINN, ESTONIA) – Estonia has allocated more than €300,000 to help Ukraine prepare for winter. The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the funding.

“Estonia continues to support Ukraine in preparing for another difficult winter, and the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is providing support in the amount of €340,000,” the ministry said in a post on X.

That sum is equal to $368,000 or £289,000 at current exchange rates.

The assistance will be delivered through partners, including non-governmental organisations. The focus will be on front line areas where needs are most urgent. The support will help families, displaced persons and Ukrainian rescue workers.

“Estonia supports Ukraine,” the diplomats wrote.

Estonia has also contributed an additional €125,000 to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. That is equal to $135,000 or £106,000. The country’s total assistance through the fund now stands at €2.75 million, equal to $2.98 million or £2.34 million.
