(KYIV, UKRAINE) – The National Bank of Ukraine set the official exchange rate for Tuesday 28 July with the US dollar and the euro both rising against the hryvnia.

The dollar gained 5 kopiyok from the previous day to reach 44.85 hryvnia. On 27 July the rate stood at 44.80 hryvnia. The euro rose by 11 kopiyok to 51.07 hryvnia, compared with 50.96 hryvnia on Monday.

At the new official rate, one US dollar buys 44.85 hryvnia. One euro buys 51.07 hryvnia. Expressed in other terms, 44.85 hryvnia equals roughly 1.11 US dollars, 0.88 British pounds or 1.02 euros. For the euro rate, 51.07 hryvnia equals about 1.26 US dollars, 1.00 British pound or 1.15 euros.

The central bank adjusts the official rate daily based on market conditions. The rate serves as a reference for currency exchange operations across the country.

The government’s draft state budget for 2026 assumes an average annual exchange rate of 45.6 hryvnia to the US dollar. The daily fixing on 28 July remains below that projected average.
